The Sarasota Bay watershed is adjacent to the Peace and Myakka Rivers, which flow into Charlotte Harbor on Florida's southwest coast. The basins contain numerous surface waters, including lakes, streams, wetlands, and springs that occupy some 815 square miles of the total basin area.
